I attended a Merlien conference in Malta earlier this year and found the experience very valuable. It was a very good forum for learning about and debating the latest developments and connecting with like minded people. The standard of presentations was very good and I was impressed with the openness and enthusiasm of the delegates.

I attended and presented the first International conference on Market Research in the Mobile World in Berlin last December. Here are a list of things that stood out for me: The overall high quality of the presentations, the opportunity to meet with people from all over the world (Canada to Australia and everywhere in between) and the workshop type sessions interspersed between the presentations. I have also made some great contacts and relationships and look forward to going to the next conferences.

I attended the Merlien conference held in Macau last February. The size of the conference was good to discuss the topics and know each other with the reasonable registration fee. I found it very good opportunity to learn the theme and connect the researchers globally.

I have had the pleasure of attending one of Merlien events (in Malta earlier this year) and found it to be very informative at the same time as being friendly and informal, which served to heighten the learning experience in my opinion. I would certainly recommend you try and make it along. You will not regret it if you are looking to learn, connect and be inspired.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the Merlien programme of events to you - as I can see have numerous other previous delegates. From my direct experience, the speaker line-ups have included some truely enlightening speakers, and the networking opportunities have been invaluable - given the breadth of delegate attendees, In my opinion, attending would certainly be a good investment of time in this diary-pressured world.

I joined Qualitative Research in Web2.0 held in Macau on this Feb. 22 and 23. It was very fun and impressive to share knowledge of QRWeb2.0 at the enriched environment. The speakers gathered from all over the world unsparingly presented insights found in their cutting edge research programs. The seminar retained the family-like atmosphere. I wish I could attend a seminar by Merlien again in near future

After the 2 day CAQRA2011 conference in Macau, my knowledge about qualitative research, in particular the use and choice of CAQDAS increased dramatically. It is definitely worth the time and effort to attend. The insights and ideas from participants around the world foster synergy and opening up a new stream of thinking or approach to qualitative research.

This 1st International Seminar on Computer-Aided Qualitative Research, 2008, was an important initiative in advancing qualitative research knowledge using computer software. Participants at the seminar raised current issues such as how to incorporate multimedia data in both qualitative software and qualitative research analyses, showcased (and debated) a number of creative ways to use software in research, and was an important venue for networking. A mix of relatively experienced and relatively novice researchers contributed to the synergy and interaction of this two-day seminar. I highly recommend the format, size and venue for future computer-aided qualitative research seminars.
