How to submit an abstract for a presentation?

Answer

  1. You will first need to visit the specific event website and review the topics of interests.
  2. Download the abstract template, fill in your name, affiliation and a short abstract of max. 800 words.
  3. Save the file in your name and send it to events(at)merlien.org before the mentioned deadline.

The standard presentation format is 30 minutes powerpoint presentation followed by a 15 minutes Q&A. However, other speaking formats are also acceptable depending on speaker requirements. For instance, a mix of powerpoint presentation and group discussions are highly encouraged. The time allocated for brainstorming workshops and panel discussions could range from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. Other "unconference" formats such as Open Space or World Cafe are also accepted.

**Important: We do not accept sales pitches or marketing presentations. All abstracts will be blind-reviewed by programme committee to ensure that the content fits into the conference theme. Feedback will also be given to speakers on how to improve their presentation content.

While we try to accept as many proposals as possible in the conference, please do not be discouraged when your abstract is rejected. Merlien Institute holds multiple conference around the globe and we may recommend your abstract to be presented in other relevant conferences.
