Timothy Nelson

Dr Timothy Nelson is Lecturer in Social Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. His research focuses on low-income, non-custodial fathers, as well as congregational studies and African American religion. His most recent publication is Every Time I Feel the Spirit: Religious Experience and Ritual in an African American Congregation. His next book is tentatively titled Marginal Men: Fatherhood in the Lives of Low Income Unmarried Men (with Kathryn Edin and Laura Lein). Nelson received his PhD in sociology from the University of Chicago in 1997 and has also taught at Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Raewyn Bassett

Prof Raewyn Bassett is a sociologist at Dalhousie University in Canada. She has used qualitative software for more than 10 years on a variety of research projects, including clinical drug trials, social demonstration projects, case studies, focus groups, ethnographies, and scoping reviews. One of her main interests is the influence of qualitative data analysis software on methodological development. She is currently interviewing researchers in the province of Nova Scotia about their use of qualitative software, their support networks, and how the software has informed their development as researchers. Dr. Bassett teaches graduate qualitative methods courses and often incorporates a range of qualitative software, including ATLAS/ti, HyperRESEARCH, MAXqda, NVIVO, and Transana. 

Rodney Hopson

Rodney K. Hopson is Hillman Distinguished Professor, Associate Professor in Sociolinguistics, Ethnography, and Evaluation, Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership in the School of Education, and faculty member in the Center for Interpretive and Qualitative Research, Duquesne University. Hopson’s research interests lie in social politics and policies, foundations of education, sociolinguistics, and ethnographic evaluation research. 

Tom H. C. Anderson

Tom H. C. Anderson is the Founder of Anderson Analytics. He is named one of the industry's "Four under 40" market research leaders by the American Marketing Association in 2010. Tom is also prominent blogger, recognized authority on social media, and the founder of Next Gen Market Research (NGMR), one of the most active networking groups for market researchers on the Web. He lectures regularly at universities and industry conferences, and has published widely in trade journals and decision science publications. Tom holds an MBA in Marketing, Finance and International Business from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Economics from Lund University, Sweden.

Maria Cristiane Barbosa Galvão

Maria Cristiane Barbosa Galvão is a Professor at Faculty of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). She obtained her PhD in Information Science from the University of Brasília (2003) and a Master in Communication Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo (1997). Her research fields include specialized languages, terminology, scientific and technical texts; information and knowledge organization and representation. Her current research project is about information production, organization and representation on patient records. She publishes articles and chapter of books on epistemology of information science, characteristics of specialized languages, thesaurus construction and information analysis.

Mary Evans Kasala

Dr. Kasala serves on the Research Methods Faculty of the Doctoral Program in Organization and Management of School of Business and Technology at Capella University.  She is also a Scientific Merit Reviewer at Capella and a University Reviewer in the Office of Academic Research at Northcentral University. She teaches research methods and supervises doctoral student dissertation research.  Dr. Kasala has a PhD in Management and an MBA from Syracuse University, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.  Her research interests are in the areas of qualitative methods as they apply to the study of strategy, ethics and finance.

Leonard Murphy

Leonard Murphy is a respected market researcher industry leader with an entrepreneurial drive; he has been called a visionary and is renowned as an innovator. He has successfully established several companies in the MR space including Rockhopper Research and MDM Associates before founding his current companies: BrandScan 360 and his consulting practice LMC group. Lenny serves on the Board of The Market Research Global Alliance, is the Publisher of the GreenBook Research Industry Trends Study. He is on the Advisory Board of the Festival of NewMR and is also the Chairman of the IIR Technology Driven Market Research conference. Rounding out his busy professional life, he is the Editor in Chief of the GreenBook Blog.
